Since the jaw creates an immense amount of pressure, it may need to be strengthened with a bone graft. A bone graft is a surgical procedure by which a piece of bone is extracted from another part of your jaw or body and layered onto the thin or soft area of your jaw that needs extra support. After this heals, you can proceed with the regular steps of your implant.
